ITI stands for Industrial Training Institute. It is constituted under DGET (Directorate General Employment and Training), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and Union Government to provide for skill training in various trades.

There are ample of skill based jobs available after completing an ITI diploma. There is an increasing demand of ITI diploma holders in the foreign countries as well. Some of the widely demanded sectors in which the demand is ever increasing are for the jobs of : Electrician, Fitter, Draughtsman civil, Draughtsman mechanical, Diesel mechanic, Electronic mechanic, Turner, Machinist, Information technology, Refrigeration and air condition, Instrument mechanic, Wireman, Tool and die Maker, Stenographer, Automobile, Motor mechanic and so on.
RECURITMENT AFTER ITI :
After completion of ITI one can undergo Apprenticeship training in Different industries. The apprenticeship training is a stipend paid programme. The stipend is paid on a monthly basis in the training period. Usually the training last from 1 year to 3 years. One can go for apprenticeship in the Government sector also.
As for the jobs after that, various jobs are available in the Industrial sectors, in MNCs and other Government sector too. The qualification in ITI Diploma and skill performances are taken into consideration for the jobs. One can start up with their own small scale business after ITI. The business is also a highly paying.
